The landscape of Austin Real Estate Market has changed dramatically over the last 10 years. Just as the Austin Economy has seen tremendous growth through the likes of Dell Computer, AMD, Freescale Semiconductor, and a thousand little start-ups, the average home price has just about doubled. The once quiet Capitol of Texas was known for being one of the state's best secrets. With its warm climate, live music, outstanding food and access to the Colorado River, Austin is no longer a secret and people are migrating to the ATX daily.
What is amazing is the number of people that can now afford to live in a home that is $500k or more. This chart is starting to resemble that of the California Real Estate Market from a few years ago... before the home prices skyrocketed.
